Moving Through Pregnancy & Labor

Moving in the right ways can help you feel energized and able to enjoy your pregnancy, but moving in the wrong ways can leave you feeling uncomfortable and immobilized by your baby. Many common pregnancy complaints are easily managed by being aware of what you do with your body.  Join doula and AFAA certified group exercise instructor Malik Turley for a workshop that will get you moving, whatever stage of pregnancy you're in right now, as well as give you information for the rest of your pregnancy.  Practice a variety of movements and positions that can help you manage the intensity of labor, and leave with a toolbox of techniques you can use when the time comes.  Malik has created a movement experience geared to your pregnant body drawing from her years of supporting women in labor, using techniques learned through dance and other fitness modalities.  Make the most of your everyday movements and learn what to add in to keep you feeling good and healthy, as well as getting baby into the optimal position for birth.  Please dress in comfortable standard workout attire and get ready to move!  Appropriate for all fitness levels and in all stages of pregnancy.
