Bio:
Ms. Bea Haven is Chicago burlesque's dyke darling. A Chicago-based performance, burlesque and video artist, producer and teacher, Ms. Bea (aka JT Newman) has performed her hilarious, smart and edgy burlesque acts with nearly every burlesque & performance art outfit in town. Bea packs her queer-positive, woman-positive, body-type-inclusive messages into a sexy performance art shows and pieces that are beloved by queer and straight audiences alike.

She has been a featured performer in the PAC/Edge festival, Ladyfest Midwest, Ladyfest Philly, Beastwomen, the Twisted Tassel Festival, Star and Garter, Prissy Bitch Productions, Hi-Voltage Burlesque, Girlie-Q Variety Hour, Girlie-Q Live, Heartless B!tch, Gurlesque Burlesque, Red Hot Dames, Varietease Cabaret, Vaudezilla, and many others. As a video and fine artist, her work has been seen throughout the country. She holds an MFA in performance and video/new media from Columbia College Chicago.
